Olga was born on November 12, 1972 in Zaporozhie.  She was coached by Viktor and Alexander Zaruba at Profsoyuz Zaporozhie.  Her gymnastics favorites were Li Ning and teammate Elena Shushunova.  

Olga performed with a German circus for several years, then returned to Ukraine where she curently works as an associate professor in the Physical Education department of the Classic Private University in her hometown.  She's divorced and has a daughter, Anna, who's training in rhythmic gymnastics.
