Camelia was born on March 1, 1970 in Constanta.  She trained at Cetate Deva under coaches Adrian Goreac, Adrian Stan and Maria Cosma.  She was best known for her powerful tumbling and her innovative 1986-87 FX that featured breakdancing elements.
