Vitaly was born on January 13, 1972, in Minsk.  He was coached by Sergei Shinkar and Leonid Filipenok.  Scherbo won 6 individual gold medals at the 1992 Olympic Games -- a record.  He now lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Irina, and daughter, Kristina.  He owns and runs the Vitaly Scherbo School of Gymnastics.
