Today during one of the football games, NBC said that the Atlanta
Gymnastics Invitational will air this Saturday (Dec. 2)at 1:30 Eastern.

Does anyone know how long NBC's broadcast will be?  CBC's coverage of
the Subway meet starts at 3:00 that same day, and I'm afraid that the two
will overlap.

Subject: FAQ's

Debbie,

You asked for us to submit any errors - here goes.

I am going off of memory on these so I hope that I am accurate

- Svetlana B. is training at Brown's Houston (Brown's Central is in
Altamonte Springs, Fl.)

- (just for your info.)   Bilozerchev is now coaching at Brown's
Central in Fl.

- Boys compete levels 7 - elite (not 6 - elite)  and can compete at
any level without qualifying from one     level to another.

- The compulsory routines are not in the actual FIG code of points

- D's as well as E's and combinations earn bonus  (you did mention
this later - but in the first mention it did   not say that d's get
bonus)

- On high bar - a dorsal grip is required - not specifically inverted
giants.

- Men's floor - a  balance on one arm or leg is required.

- Men - the category that you labeled as combination is actually
called "special requirements"

- deductions are very different for men's and women's gymnastics -
the deductions you listed must be for   the women - they were not the
men's deductions.

- I disagree with the statement about the 1/2 twist in the roundoff ..
..

- men may do 1 arm vaults as well as 2 arm vaults

- Tsukahara - women are allowed to perform any where from 1/4 to a
1/2 twist in preflight

- Gienger's may be performed in tucked, piked or layout positions

- Pak salto  -  flips before the recatch on the low bar

- I believe that Ringnald performed the back off PH in the Piked
position

- Men's Vault - Galimore should be credited with performing the
tsukahara layout with 1/1 twist first (he     even got the 1st NCAA
10.0 with this vault that is named for him.

I enjoyed reading the FAQ's - I thought it was pretty thorough - good
job.
