*grumbles loudly about not making herself clear*
Yes, I am talking about Dom's floor routine at US Championships, which
was done to a Russian piece of music called 'Fantasy Quick.' At least,
that is how IG (and myself) classified it. It SOUNDS Russian. In any
case, it is a change from her "Malaguena" (sp) number.

Well, I spent a short amount of time at the gym today.  It's a pretty

by some of what I read today, I think the implication was that many of the
lacking routines belong to Americans.

Perhaps it's just that so many of the US routines come from a single source .
. . and that focus is almost anti-ballet.

Just MHO

I guess my point is that just because they aren't balletic doesn't
mean they aren't good. I know I'm gonna sound repetitive, but one
of the best choregraphed numbers I have ever seen is Aimee Trepanier's
floor this year. And that's not balletic at all. Who says it has
the be balletic to be terrific? The establishment. Jees, Sometimes
I really hate tradition. :)

BTW, I wanted to make something clear to the Alabma fans out there.
I was not bashing your floor routines. I was simply using a comparison
one that was obviously because of the floor totals at the NCAA's. When
I mentioned sacrificing choreopgrahy for tumbling, it works directly
in the opposite direction. Alabma, in my mind, has better choreography.
So, who wins?
