Leninsk-Kuznetsk   Here has ended the all-around Cup of Siberia and the Far East.  The team from Kemerovo oblast finished first - 1344.97.  In second was  Novosibirsk - 1073.69, and in third was Krasnoyarsk region - 849.45.

This competition was added to the Russian sports calendar last year.  Its purpose is to explore the orbit of gymnastics in the Siberian "depths."  Unfortunately, not everyone took advantage of this competition.  Thus, several teams did not come to Leninsk-Kuznetsk (a preparation center for young gymnasts): Amursk, Kamchatka, Omsk, Sakhalin, Tomsk and Chiita oblasts, and Buryat and Yakutsk ASSR.

In the women's competition no one could equal national team member N. Tereshchenko (Magadan oblast).  Her optional program showed very complicated and contemporary elements.  Besides her victory in the all-around (74.6), she did not give up her lead in the event finals.  In second was E. Votkina (Kemerovo oblast) - 72.35, and third was E. Kazakova (Khabarovsk oblast) - 71.8.

For the girls, the winner of the program for candidate for master of sport was K. Smirnova (Kemerovo oblast) - 72.65.

The men didn't show superior results in the all-around, and they didn't have the requisite form in the compulsory exercises.  The best result came from V.Kindeev (Kemerovo oblast) - 103.9.  In second place was his teammate G. Kharitonov - 102.9, and in third was Yu.  Murodinov (Novosibirsk) - 102.5.  Floor exercise was won by S. Shentsov (Krasnoyarsk region), pommel horse and rings - G. Kharitonov, vault and high bar - V. Kindeev, and parallel bars - L. Podchezev (Novosibirsk oblast).

Young boy gymnasts competing in the candidate for master of sport category showed more interesting elements than their older comrades.  Yes, and they performed better than the masters of sport.  S. Kiselev (Kemerovo oblast) had the highest all-around total, and he also won floor, rings, vault and parallel bars.  His teammate M. Chetverikov was first on pommel horse and high bar and 2nd in the all-around - 104.7.
